E-commerce Experience Design

Leading the e-commerce experience
I led the UI/UX and graphic design for 2nd Gear’s new e-commerce platform, mapping the journey from navigation and product discovery through purchase. My hands-on work included wireframes, screen layouts, responsive design and all supporting graphics.
I also presented the design to stakeholders and developed the relationships between the platform’s connected screens. A separate developer implemented the responsive Bootstrap website.

Establishing the information structure
I developed the journey and wireframes before refining the visual interface. This established how navigation, product content, and purchase steps would connect across the platform.
Structuring detailed product content
I mapped the complete e-commerce journey and developed the supporting wireframes. This structure connected individual product information with navigation and purchase.

Moving from structure to interface
I carried the wireframe structure into detailed interface design and created all graphics. The work connected the underlying user journey with the visual presentation of the storefront.

Designing beyond the storefront
My UI/UX scope extended through the purchase journey and its connected screens. I considered the relationships between those views as part of the platform’s overall experience.

Connecting account-related screens
I designed the connected interface views that supported the wider e-commerce journey. The work brought page-level decisions into an overall interaction structure.

Developing the purchase flow
I mapped the progression from navigation to purchase and developed the supporting interface. This was a connected experience-design responsibility, extending beyond individual screen styling.
Refining the customer-facing screens
I designed the interface and graphics across the journey, including the detailed screens supporting product exploration. Stakeholder presentations were also part of my lead-design role.

Making the interactions explicit
I developed the relationships between screens as part of the UI/UX work. These design connections helped communicate the intended experience alongside stakeholder presentations.

Delivering responsive web design
I designed the website for responsive use within a Bootstrap-based build. My role covered UI/UX, graphics, and design leadership, with implementation handled by a separate developer.
